At 9 a.m. on a cloudless Saturday in mid April, Bae boarded Tom Slater's Cessna 2012 172SP and took off from the Raleigh Durham airport headed to Blacksburg, VA and his new home.
A good citizen Marie Liebelt learned of Bae's plight a few weeks ago and contacted CrisisDogsNC. Bae's owner had abandoned this 9 year old Newfy mix in the yard when she moved.
Marie sponsored this beauty's vetting and ,we moved him to Doggie Village Apex for temporary boarding and his first playdate
A few days later he was ready to fly!
Pilot Tom Slater wrote: "Another successful PnP (PilotsnPaws) mission completed. Weather even cooperated.. Bae was a little nervous at first but the drone of the engine allowed him to nap some on the way to his new home. What no snacks?"
Bae was met at Blacksburg airport by Connor Morphy and girlfriend who brought him home to his new family.
Thank you Dr. Trina Murphy for adopting this beauty and providing him with the heartworm treatment he needs! Thank you pilot Tom Slater for a great flight and good samaritan Marie Liebelt for saving Bae!
